Amrutha Yathish

Lecturer

Amrutha Yathish is working as Lecturer at DLHS. She is a graduate of MA European Studies from Manipal Centre for European Studies (MCES), Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE). As recipient of the Erasmus+ scholarship, she spent one year of the master’s dual degree program at University of Latvia, Riga. She is currently pursuing doctoral studies in the realm of public and cultural diplomacy at Manipal Centre for European Studies. Her academic interest lies at the intersection of international cultural relations, foreign language pedagogy and intercultural communication. Trained in French and French language pedagogy at Alliance française and Institut français en Inde, she teaches French (beginner-intermediate levels) and is engaged in pedagogical innovation in language teaching practices. For 5+ years she has taught modules spanning the above domains to undergraduate students of foreign languages and intercultural studies program at Department of Languages (MAHE). Previously, she has worked as Research Associate for the EU-funded CLIL@India Project, focused on navigating multilingual realities in Indian school education through the implementation of Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) approach.
