Brunel University London has partnered with Manipal Centre for Innovation Leadership and Entrepreneurship to launch RIEm in India.
RIEm - Research, Innovate and Emerge
RIEm is a program developed by Brunel University London (www.brunel.ac.uk/riem-india), to foster Innovation through Industry-Academia collaboration. Commercial research is facilitated in this model by blending core competencies of
· Research by Academia &
· Legal and business advise, contract negotiations, managing patents, funding and more by Corporates.
RIEm program has been launched in UK over the years and has stimulated positive results for the SMEs enabling in procuring public funding for collaborative research and innovation with Brunel University as a partner. Brunel University has partnered with MILES MAHE to launch RIEm in India. Under this initiative, a series of program shall be conducted, which will be practical based and workshop model. The first of such programmes is slated to be conducted between 31st Aug – 2nd Sept 2023, at MAHE, Bengaluru campus.
The broad objectives of the program are as under :
§ Brunel University shall share some of the case studies and success stories of the 2 successive RIEm program conducted in UK.
§ Research based Innovation strategy & methodology shall be discussed at length.
§ Funding and support to successful ventures in India and UK and
· Provide a platform for cross border soft launch in the UK and Indian market with mutual support and collaboration of MILES – MAHE and Brunel University.
It is envisaged to have a cohort of about 25 start-ups at various stages from early revenue, matured ventures aspiring to launch evidence based new products and services.
