Biz Henge – The Corporate Guest Lecture Series of Department of Commerce organised its Fourth Lecture on “Social Entrepreneurship and Revolution in Energy Sector” on September 19, 2013 at Manipal Campus.

Dr H Harish Hande, Managing Director, SELCO India, Bangalore delivered the fourth lecture of the forum. Addressing the students on the occasion, Dr Hande emphasised on the role of sustainable development in India. He talked about the contribution that SELCO India has made in the areas of solar technology in rural India.He also emphasised on the role of youth in making this country a better place to live. In response to the questions asked by the students, he said that India is a sleeping dragon which will wake up when its youth will wake up. He said, “Change will only come when we will rise and will take an initiative to bring a change. We are the change that we seek.”
Mr K M Udupa, Managing Trustee, Bharatiya Vikas Trust, Manipal, Mr Sandeep S Shenoy, HOD, Department of Commerce, Guru Prasad Rao, Coordinator – Biz Henge, Mr Praveen Kumar and other faculties of the department were present on the occasion.
