Manipal Institute of Virology (MIV), MAHE and Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy (CCRH) Sign MoU Agreement

A significant milestone was achieved today with the signing of an agreement between the Manipal Institute of Virology (MIV), Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) and the Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy (CCRH), Ministry of Ayush, Government of India. This partnership aims to conduct a funded randomized controlled clinical trial. The agreement was formally signed today by Dr. P. Giridhar Kini, Registrar, MAHE, and Dr. Subhash Kaushik, Director General, CCRH, Ministry of Ayush, Government of India in the esteemed presence of Lt. Gen. Dr. M D Venkatesh, Honorable Vice Chancellor, MAHE.
Representatives from both institutions attended the signing of the agreement. Dr. Shaji Kumar, Research Officer (Homoeopathy)/ Scientist-IV and Dr. Suhana P. Azis, Research Officer (Homoeopathy)/ Scientist-II from CCRH and Dr. Chiranjay Mukhopadhyay, Professor & Director and Dr. Sreekanth G. Pillai, Assistant Professor from MIV were present.
The Director General of CCRH toured the lab facilities at MIV and other institutions within MAHE. During the visit, he engaged in fruitful discussions with the MIV faculty to explore further collaboration opportunities. This joint venture marks a pivotal step towards exploring the potential synergies between conventional and complementary medicine in clinical research.
