Prof. (Dr.) Ella Gorian had the privilege of presenting her research paper, "New Bharatiya Laws: Shaping an Indian Concept of Privacy," at the International Conference on the Paradigm Shift of the Legal Landscape: A Comprehensive Analysis of Replacing British Criminal Laws with Bharatiya Laws for Transformation and Reforms organized by School of Law, Christ University Lavasa in collaboration with the Faculty of Law and Administration, University of Gdańsk (Poland) on 19 October 2024.
Her presentation explored how India’s new Bharatiya laws are redefining the Indian concept of privacy, integrating global standards while reflecting India’s unique cultural and legal context. This shift marks a significant step in aligning privacy protections with India’s values and priorities in a rapidly changing digital world.
