Qualification: LLB from Government Law College, Ernakulam, LLM from School of Indian Legal Thought, Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala and Ph.D from School of Legal Studies, Cochin University of Science and Technology, Kerala.

CURRENT ACADEMIC ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

    Academic career started in the year 2005 with extensive teaching and research experience having worked at Government Law College, Thrissur, Kerala and School of Legal Studies, Cochin University of Science and Technology, Kochi, Kerala. She completed her Ph.D in 2014 in the topic Rights of women against Domestic Violence – The Law and Emerging Challenges from School of Legal Studies, Cochin University of Science and Technology, Kerala. She has qualified Karnataka State Eligibility Test for Assistant Professorship in 2014. She served as Assistant Professor at the premier institute of law in the country, National Law School of India University Bengaluru for 9 years. She was later appointed as Assistant Professor (Law) at Tamil Nadu National Law University, Tiruchirappalli in 2019. She was appointed as Associate Professor (Law) at Ramaiah College of Law (Affiliated to Karnataka State Law University, Hubli) Bengaluru in the year 2020.

    She is Resource person to V.V.Giri National Labour Institute, She was the Expert Member, Building and other Construction Workers (Regulation of Employment and conditions of Service ) Act,1996,Expert Committee nominated by NLSIU and approved by the Government of Karnataka, in 2014.She was invited as Resource Person from India to deliver lectures on Labour Laws during the International Teaching Week at the Hof University of Applied Sciences ,Germany in the years 2015,2016 and 2018.Presently, she is external member, Board of Studies, Central University of Tamil Nadu, Thiruvarur. She is the Research Coordinator and Student Affairs Faculty Representative at Manipal Law School

Area of Interest

Labour and Employment Laws, Rights of the vulnerable and marginalised populations. Crimes Against Women and Children, Gender Justice Research, Human Rights Law, Civil Procedure Code, Administrative Law.

Area of Expertise

Human Rights Law with special emphasis on Industrial and Labour Laws with a passion towards Gender Justice and Feminism. Other areas of expertise and interest- Constitutional Law, Procedural Laws, Alternate Dispute Resolution, Administrative Law.
