Dr Padma Rani is a senior professor at the Manipal Institute of Communication. MAHE. Manipal. With 20 years of teaching experience specialising in Communication Research, Political Communication and Defence communication. With over 20 Scopus-indexed publications, Padma Rani has significantly contributed to media and communication through research and scholarly work. She has successfully guided several PhD scholars. Further cementing her mentor and thought leader role in media and communication studies. Recognising her expertise and reputation, she was appointed Co Representative for India by the Asian Information and Communication Centre (AMIC) and the Secretary. International Communication Association (ICA), India chapter. Her dedication to education. Research and industry collaboration reflects a commitment to advancing the field of journalism. Media and entertainment. Padma began her academic Journey from Miranda House, Delhi University, and PhD from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.
