Shreeraj Gudi
Assistant Professor - Senior Scale
Shreeraj Gudi has been with the Manipal Institute of Communication for over a decade, combining extensive academic and industry experience. Before his academic career, he worked as a correspondent for ANI and ETV News in Delhi, reporting on significant issues such as internal security, parliamentary affairs, elections, and legal matters. He served as a co-investigator on an ICMR-sponsored project to develop a communication network in the Western Ghats region. His co-edited report on the Kodagu disaster, supported by KDMA and UNICEF, is considered a key contribution to disaster control and mitigation. Shreeraj was nominated by the Government of Karnataka to the Karnataka Chalanachitra Academy and served as a board member of the Bengaluru International Film Festival (BIFFES). He has also curated the International Short Film and Documentary Festival. He received the prestigious Erasmus Plus grant to visit Volda University College in Norway. A regular contributor to Kannada media, he has also participated as a political commentator for Doordarshan during election coverage. Additionally, he co-edited the book The Idea of Bharat: Interactions on Identity and Beyond.
