Prof. Satish Dhawan Young Engineer State Award

Dr Raghavendra U., Associate Professor and Deputy Registrar - Administration, MAHE, Manipal has been awarded with the prestigious Prof. Satish Dhawan Young Engineer State Award in the field of Engineering Sciences, instituted by the Government of Karnataka. He received this award on 23^rd March 2023 at J N Tata Auditorium, Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru from Dr C. N. Ashwath Narayan, Hon’ble Minister for Higher Education, Electronics, IT, BT and S&T, Government of Karnataka in the presence of Bharat Ratna Prof. C.N.R. Rao, Sri A S Kiran Kumar (Former Chairman of ISRO), Prof. Govindan Rangarajan (Director, IISc) and Dr E V Ramana Reddy (Additional Chief Secretary). Dr Raghavendra U. is an eminent researcher in the area of Artificial Intelligence and Medical Image Analysis. He has more than 50 research publications in reputed journals and a patent to his credit. He is currently guiding many research students and also set his research collaborations at various international levels. Recently, he has been short listed in world’s Top 2 Percentile Researcher, as released by Stanford University USA.
