Overview
The Medical Radiation Physics program at MCHP Manipal was established in 2004 and is concerned with the use of radiation in the treatment of various human cancers.
The department carries out radiotherapy techniques such as EBRT and Brachytherapy using sophisticated computer planning systems. It involves modern techniques such as VMAT, SBRT, SRS, ISBT etc. In addition to routine treatment planning work, personnel is also frequently involved in quality assurance and research. Medical Radiation Physics is a constantly evolving and integral part of the health care system.
