The inaugural ceremony of opening of  “ Legal Services Clinic” Prog was held on 25^th March 2023 at Manipal Law School(MAHE) Bengaluru campus. Hon’ble Sri Justice B. Veerappa, Judge, High Court of Karnataka& Executive Chairman, Karnataka State Legal Services Authority was the chief guest who inaugurated the Legal Services Clinic, at Manipal Law School, Campus. Sri. Jaishankar, Sr. District Judge & Member Secretary, KSLSA, Sri. Vignesh Kumar, Sr. Civil Judge& Public Relations officer, KSLSA were also present during the occasion. The ceremony was attended by Principals, Vice Principals, HoDs, faculty members and students of KSLU affiliated Law colleges. People from corporate houses, Lawyers, Policy Makers, Industry experts also graced the said occasion.

While delivering the keynote address, Justice Sri B. Veerappa enlightened the audience about the need and efficacy to have Legal Services Clinic in place at Law Schools. He also laid more emphasis on the student’s involvement while sensitising the common people about their rights and duties. He also talked about the effective work being done by KSLSA along with Taluka people across Karnataka. He also expressed his willingness for Manipal Law School’s newly opened Legal Services Clinic to at least take 10 nearby villages thereby helping the people about their legal issues and problems they are facing. He assured full support of his office to Manipal Law School for making meaningful difference in the lives of people around Manipal Law School. He praised the legacy of MAHE in volumes and motivated the audience to work also for the needy and poor keeping in view the remedies available under Indian Laws.
