Dr. Rama Mohan Rao, Kalmady completed his MBBS in 1972 and MS in Ophthalmology and DOMS in 1983 from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal. Presently a practicing consultant at SIM Centre, Mangalore, he is a well-known vitreo retina surgeon in Karnataka. He has more than 10 awards to his credit and has published forty publications in peer reviewed journals. He was nominated for the President of Karnataka Ophthalmic Society for the year 2011-2012.
