Aim: Geospatial Applications for Disaster Management and in addition the proposed training programme intends to disseminate the knowledge on geospatial applications for management, resilience, monitoring, analysis, prediction, forecast, and hindcast various disasters.

The geospatial technology is key in processing, analysing, and predicting large geospatial data to extract information

Responsible decision-making leads to minimal disasters only when citizens are given proper education on the topic 

There exists connection between the green cover and disasters that take place

Non-structural measures are real time flood forecasting, flood plain zoning, flood inundation mapping, dam break flood simulation.
