Krishna Janmastami 2016:Celebrated at WGSHA Hostel

Janmashtami, the birthday of Lord Krishna is celebrated with great devotion and enthusiasm all over India. This year, Pratap House hosted celebrations of Janmashtami on behalf of WGSHA, on 24th August 2016. Principal and Vice principal graced the celebrations. The celebrations commenced with the traditional Puja to commemorate the birth of Lord Krishna- the eighth avatar of Vishnu, followed by chanting of bhajans and devotional songs, spreading the message of Lord. The celebrations concluded with a traditional dance performance, recreating the aspects of Krishna's youthful days. On culmination, Lunch was organized by Pratap house students for the faculty and the students in the Dining Hall. Dahi- Handi inter -course competition was also held in the evening, celebrating God's playful and mischievous side. Overall, Janmashtami was celebrated by Pratap House at WGSHA with great pomp and show.
