Distinguished Lecture series 2015 | Department of Medical Laboratory Technology

The 1st Lecture in the series was delivered by Dr Shivananda Nayak, Professor, Dept. of Biochemistry, University of West Indies on “Adiponectin- exploring the link between Diabetes Mellitus and heart diseases”.

The 2nd lecture was on March 27th, and delivered by Dr. Arun Kumar, Professor and Head, Dept. of Virus Research, Manipal Academy of Higher Education on “Challenges of clinical laboratory services in the context of emerging infectious diseases”.

The 3^rd lecture in the series was on May 11th 2015 by Dr. Chethan Manohar, Professor of Pathology and In-Charge, Clinical laboratory, Kasturba Hospital, on “Cell counter alerts, what do they mean?”

The 4^th lecture was on 20th August 2015 by Dr. Pragna Rao, Professor of Biochemistry and Associate Dean, KMC, Manipal on “Pre-examination variables in plasma glucose estimation”.

The 5^th Lecture, on November 2nd 2015 by Dr. Ranjini Kudva, Professor of Pathology, KMC, Manipal on “Cytopreparatory techniques - from classic to novel”.

The 6^th  Lecture on 16th December 2015, by Dr. Chiranjay Mukhopadhyay, Professor of Microbiology, KMC, Manipal, was on “Antibiotic Stewardship - The role of Clinical laboratory.
