Education is a powerful driver of development and one of the strongest instruments for reducing poverty and improving health, gender equality, peace, and stability. It is the right of every child to get proper education. In this regard, Dept. of speech and Hearing, MCHP, MAHE organized 2 days national seminar on ‘Current educational model for children with communication disorder’ from April 26th to 27th 2022.The objective of the seminar was to improve the special educator’s knowledge on current educational plan and modification required for children with communication disorder. Overall 25 special educator from all over Karnataka participated in the event. The program officially inaugurated by Dr.Ashoka Kamath BEO Udupi District. This seminar was accredited by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). The seminar had interactive sessions from subject experts from the area of Audiology and Speech Language Pathology, Psychology and Psychiatry. Dr.Archana.G and Dr.Veena facilitated the seminar with the support from Dr.Usha (HOD Dept. of Speech and Hearing), Dr.Arun G Maiya (Dean MCHP, MAHE) Dr.Venkataraja Aithal (Associate Dean MCHP, MAHE) Dr.Reshmi.B (Associate Dean MCHP, MAHE . All the sessions were well received by the participants.
