Summary

Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), through its commitment to Gender Equality, provides women and girls with equal access to education. In addition to creating equal educational opportunities and promoting a safe campus for women and girls, Manipal Academy of Higher Education also encourages research on issues addressing Gender Equality. Research seminars on topics such as mental health issues of women, women and law and public health policies for women in India are conducted by different institutes of MAHE. Faculty members of MAHE are working on social issues such as digital spaces and women, family planning, fertility rates and lack of gender representation in the Medical Curriculum. Additionally, MAHE has various policies supporting women’s access schemes and tracking measures, maternity policies and policies of non-discrimination against women, etc. which champions the cause of “Gender Equality”.
