The context of the FDP: The workshop is designed to equip novice case writers with the nuances of writing a good teaching case and to provide hands-on training to develop a well-written case for use in the classroom. Registration is limited to 25-30 participants.

The Target Group: Early career faculty from management schools, research scholars and research aspirants in Social Sciences, Commerce, and faculty members, who want to scale up their teaching skills using a reflective pedagogy.

Learning Objectives: The program's overarching goal is to empower the participants to independently develop a teaching and publishable case. At the end of this program, the participants can attain the following specific skills:

  • Approach business houses for collaborating on case writing
  • Collect data and facts for writing the case
  • Structure a case study
  • Write a real-life case on a business problem
  • Preparing teaching notes for a case
  • Publish a case study

The Programme Mode: The program will be delivered face-to-face and intensive hands-on mode. It will be rigorous and interactive, with several individual and group exercises. The participants can interact with accomplished scholars and fetch inspirational insights. Participants are expected to complete assignments based on the specific topics covered. The program will be participant-centred and practical.

Course Fee: The course fee is Rs. 1000/- per person (Rs.700 for the participants from MAHE). It covers tea and refreshments and lunch on the days of training.
