Inaugural Function of Club Sanskrithi (Cultural Club)

The inaugural function held on 22rd of September for “Sanskrithi”, the Cultural club, began with the MC, Katha Naik, addressing the gathering, after which the dignitaries were escorted to the dais. The event was then officially commenced with a prayer to the Divine Soul by Sangam, a second year MBA (General) student. The Chief Guest for the function was Mr. Siddharth Shetty, an accomplished dancer, who has won many accolades for his talent and is a part of the renowned dance crew “Team Velocity” and also an MIT alumnus. Seated on the dais alongside Mr. Siddharth Shetty were, Dr. Ravindranath Naik, Director, School of Management, MAHE, Faculty Coordinator of the Club, Dr. Sagarika Kamath and the President of the club, Revathi Nambiar. Followed by the MC’s welcome address was the lamp-lighting ceremony to invoke the Almighty’s blessings and positivity. The MC then introduced the Chief Guest and he was then felicitated by the Director. Followed by this was the Director’s welcome address to the gathering where he provided valuable insights to the students. His inputs stay with us and never fail to ignite our enthusiasm. Next to address the gathering was Mr. Siddharth Shetty, the Chief Guest. His words of encouragement sure raised our spirits and his humility inspired us. Then, the name launch of the club was initiated by the Chief Guest, the Director, the Faculty Coordinator, The President and the club’s office bearers. The Presidential Address by Revathi Nambiar of Sanskrithi, the Cultural Club followed, where she highlighted the work being done by the members of the club and the club’s agenda for the year. Vote of thanks was proposed by Athira R Nair, the Vice President of the club, to mark an end to the inaugural function. Then came the moment everyone was waiting for with bated breath, the start of the cultural events organised by the students for first year and second year. The MCs were Gautam Vakeri, Nischal P. Salian, Ajay Kumar, from second year and Abhishek Khedkar from first year. It was met with great enthusiasm, involvement and cheers from the students and faculty.
