Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) organized a workshop titled "Training the Trainer" on 10 September 2024, at TMA Pai Hall 1^st floor with the aim of  empowering faculty members across the institution with the necessary skills to effectively utilize the Bright Space Learning Management System (LMS). The workshop saw enthusiastic participation from approximately 100 faculty members, including four esteemed faculty members from the Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences (MCOPS); Dr. K. Nandakumar, Dr. Anoop Kishore, Dr. Pradeep M, and Dr. Deepanjan.

The event commenced with an inaugural session led by Dr. Narayan Sabahit, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Technical), and Dr. Raviraj, Director of Planning, MAHE. In their keynote addresses, they highlighted the rapid digital transformation in India and emphasized the importance of adapting to this shift as an educational institution. They underscored the critical role that digital platforms like Bright Space LMS play in enhancing the teaching-learning experience and preparing faculty to meet modern educational challenges.

Ms. Bhakthi and Mr. Jeevan from Bright Space conducted the core training session. The session covered an array of topics crucial for efficiently using the LMS platform. Faculty members were introduced to the platform's features, including how to log in with credentials, create and manage course content, create assignments and quizzes, make announcements, and engage students through discussion forums and activity feedback.

The workshop was designed to provide faculty members with a practical, hands-on experience and a comprehensive understanding of leveraging Bright Space LMS to enhance student engagement and streamline course management.

The faculty from MCOPS, including Dr. K. Nandakumar, Dr. Anoop Kishore, Dr. Pradeep M, and Dr. Deepanjan, expressed their appreciation for the workshop. They noted that the knowledge and skills gained would be highly beneficial in their ongoing efforts to adopt digital tools for a more interactive and efficient educational experience. Their positive feedback serves as a testament to the workshop's success.
