Mr Gurpreet Singh, an alumnus of Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences (BPharm Batch of 2001-2005) is a Life Sciences & Pharma Business Leader with 17+ years of progressive experience in Business Strategy, Management and Operations. He has served in strategic positions in industries like Cognizant, TCS, Novartis, Parexel etc. He is currently the Vice President, Global Head Pharmacovigilance at Freyr Solutions in United Kingdom. Mr Singh was the Best Outgoing student of BPharm in 2004-2005 and has received many honours and awards including- Business Excellence Award for Professional Leadership in Lifesciences & Pharma by the Knowledge Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Jun 2022, and Exemplars of Excellence (Biopharma) Award for Operational Excellence in Lifesciences & Pharma by Bluetech Media in Aug 2023.

Gurpreet Singh addressed the undergraduate and post graduate students of MCOPS on 1 September 2023 and delivered a lecture on Global Drug Development – Current Trends, Challenges and Opportunities focusing on the essential elements for a Successful Organizational Transformation i.e., The people, process, technology. He discussed the role of each element in detail i.e. how people do the work, how processes make the work more efficient and how technology helps people do their tasks and also helps automate the processes. He presented case studies to show how businesses achieve organizational efficiency by balancing the three and optimizing the relationships between people, processes, and technology.
