Dr. Harishkumar Madhyastha, Assistant Professor of Cardiovascular Physiology, Department of Medical Sciences, School of Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, University of Miyazaki, Japan, delivered a guest lecture on the topic "Insights on Metal Nano Medicine" at Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences on 29 August 2022. 

 Dr. Srinivas Hebbar, Assistant professor, Pharmaceutics department of the college introduced the speaker to the audience. This lecture briefed the methodologies involved in preparing Metal Nanoparticles, different metals used in drug delivery, and advanced techniques used for characterizing Metal Nanoparticles and applications of Metal Nanoparticles. Dr. Harishkumar shared his professional knowledge and experience using metal nanoparticles to treat wound healing. The MPharm students and Research Scholars of Manipal College of Pharmaceutical Sciences had a very constructive discussion regarding the future potential and scope of the nano-based drug delivery arena. 

At the end of the session, Dr. Shaila Angela Lewis Professor Department of  Pharmaceutics presented a memento to Dr. Harishkumar Madhyastha as a token of appreciation. Dr. Srinivas Hebbar proposed the vote of thanks and concluded the informative session with a group photo.
