Guest Talk on EduRx– Pharmacist Learning Management System (PLMS)

An interactive session with Mr. Jacob Nicholas, Director-Training & Programs, EduRx – PLMS (Pharma division of AZIMUTH) on 30 November 2017 in MCOPS energized the PharmD students, bringing out better ideas for their future. The talk enlightened them on the important must-haves for being a clinical/hospital pharmacist, emphasizing on the Pharmacist Workup of Drug Therapy (PWDT) and Drug Utilization Review (DUR). His insight on the licensure exams and requirements to practice pharmacy in different countries was indeed resourceful. A novel systematic approach to acquire knowledge – EduRx, was highlighted upon. The description regarding the same was motivational to both the staff and students alike. In the afternoon session, he demonstrated e-learning tools of EduRx and its importance in pharmacy practice education and practice, especially for evidence based pharmacotherapy teaching and learning.
