Global Symposium Series - 7 on ‘Emerging Evidence and Teaching Learning Methods for Future Crisis, Learning Modes, Online Assessment, and Evaluation Competencies’
Global Symposium Series –7 on ‘Emerging Evidence and Teaching Learning Methods for Future Crisis, Learning Modes, Online Assessment, and Evaluation Competencies’was organized by Team- Expanding Reach and Internationalization of Manipal College of Nursing, MAHE, Manipal on November 02, 2021, from 2 pm to 4 pm.
Dr Manojkumar Nagasampige, Director of Online Education, MAHE, Mrs Sivaneswary Palanibilo, Lecturer & Senior Manager, Overseas Program Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Singapore and Dr Shashidhara Y N, Professor & Head, Department of Community Health Nursing, MCON, MAHE were the resource persons for the symposium.
Dr Shashidhara Y N discussed regarding the competencies of online communication skills, competencies of online teaching and tips for successful communication. Dr Manojkumar Nagasampige elaborated on designing, developing and improving an online programme. Mrs Sivaneswary Palanibilo, explained about collaboration and industry requirements, implementation of Group work Skills Questionnaire (GSQ), its implementation in the module. She also explained on ‘Sharing on Lecturer’s perspective on e-assessment and e-proctoring’.
Dr Melita Sheilini, Assistant Professor -Selection grade, Dept. of Medical Surgical Nursing MCON, MAHE, moderated the session and Mrs Asha K Nayak, Assistant Professor-Sr. Scale, Department of Psychiatric (Mental) Health Nursing managed the event and Dr Elsa Sanatombi Devi, Professor, Department of Medical-Surgical Nursing was the convener. A total of 72 professionals participated from across the globe in this virtual symposium.
