Webinar on “Sanskrit in the contemporary world” as part of “Samskrita Week Celebrations”
Manipal College of Nursing, MAHE, Manipal has organized webinar on the topic “Sanskrit in the contemporary world” as part of “Samskrita Week Celebrations” on August 5, 2020 between 10 am and 11am to cherish the glory of great Sanskrit language. Dr Arjuna S R, Assistant Professor, Department of Philosophy, MAHE Manipal shared his expertise on Sanskrit language. Concepts associated with Sanskrit language, its realities, unique features, availability of Sanskrit in modern subjects such as Mathematics to Culinary Arts and, from Biology to Ontology etc.,. How Sanskrit is used in the composition of new literary works, its pedagogical value and the applicability to computer science and language science, the various ways this language is perceived in classrooms, professional environments and public were the highlights of the session.
The session was conducted as a webinar in Microsoft Teams and was attended by 64 participants within MAHE, Manipal. This webinar was related to the circular from University Grant Commission (UGC) date July, 2020 and was coordinated by Ms Shalini G Nayak, Assistant Professor; Manipal College of Nursing MAHE Manipal.
