September 10, 2024
The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit and the Volunteer Services Organization (VSO) unit of MCON came together to actively take part in the "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam" campaign as per the guidelines set by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).
On September 5, 2024, the inaugural of the campaign witnessed Dr. Tessy Treesa Jose, the Associate Dean of MCON, planting a sapling at the MCON garden premises. Along with her, Mr. Vinish V, the NSS coordinator, and Dr. Maria Pais, the VSO coordinator of MCON, accompanied by student representatives from both units, actively participated in the event.
The initiative not only highlights the commitment of MCON towards environmental sustainability and community engagement but also serves as a testament to the collaborative efforts of the NSS and VSO units in contributing to such significant campaigns. Through their participation, MCON's students and faculty members not only fostered a spirit of environmental consciousness but also emphasized the importance of social responsibility and collective action in making a positive impact on our surroundings. This program contributes to SDG 3 and 15.
MCON takes immense pride in the enthusiastic involvement of its NSS and VSO units in the "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam" campaign, showcasing the institution's dedication to fostering a culture of citizenship and environmental stewardship among its members.
