The Student Nurses Association of Manipal College of Nursing, MAHE, Manipal celebrated Teachers Day on September 5, 2023. First-year, second-year, third-year, fourth-year, PBBSc first and second years, and MSc first and second year students attended classes taken by the students from their senior mates and peer mates as a mark of respect for teachers. The students welcomed the faculty with flowers and a thank you card, for the celebration. Ms Kezia Shaji Thomas and group, 3rd year BSc Nursing rendered a prayer song to invoke god’s blessings. Dr Judith A. Noronha, Dean MCON, Dr Tessy Treesa Jose, Associate Dean and Heads of the departments of MCON Manipal offered floral tribute to two great teachers of MCON, Prof. (Late) P P Bhanumathi the founder Dean of MCON and Dr (Late) Aparna Bhaduri, a world-renowned nurse researcher and P G Coordinator at MCON MAHE. Ms Jesyln Joseph 4th year BSc Nursing highlighted the significance of teacher’s day and the role of a teacher in moulding the student in her message. Students dedicated a variety of entertainment programmes from various batches for the teachers and conducted a few games. Students wholeheartedly thanked all the teachers for their active participation and contribution towards their learning. Ms Anishka Saldanha, 4th year BSc Nursing compered the programme.
