Manipal College of Nursing - Student Research Forum, MAHE, Manipal, organized the first session of the year-long lecture series on ‘Exploring horizons of Nursing Research: The learning curve’ on 11th February 2023, from 11.30 – 12.30 pm. The resource person for the session was Dr. Vishnu Renjith, Lecturer & Program Director, School of Nursing & Midwifery, Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.

Dr. Vishnu Renjith reflected on Nursing Research at MCON, shared his research journey, gave an overview of his major works, briefed the participants on the areas of his current work, and explained the challenges that could be faced while carrying out research and ways to overcome them. He also spoke on the nursing pathways, and the skills to nurture and gave a word of encouragement to nursing students.

The session was very inspiring and informative and provided a well-appreciated guide for the new researchers to plan and implement research projects. A total of 104 participants, including undergraduate & postgraduate students, Ph.D. scholars, project staff, and faculty of MCON attended the session. E-certificates were given to all the participants.
